Founded in 1997 by Carrie Blakeney, the practice has grown from a specialist soft furnishings studio into a full interior design service, working on homes across Wiltshire and beyond.
Carrie trained at the KLC School of Design in London, building on her background in curtain making and upholstery to develop a distinctive design philosophy—one rooted in craftsmanship, texture, and timeless aesthetic balance. Her interiors are known for their gentle layering of colour and pattern, and a warm, lived-in character that reflects the people who call them home.
With over twenty-five years of experience, Carrie leads a team of talented designers and makers who share her passion for beautiful materials and thoughtful detailing. Together, they collaborate with artisans, architects, and trusted trades to deliver homes that are as practical as they are inspiring—from modern countryside retreats to the sensitive restoration of listed buildings.
Soft Furnishings
At the heart of Blakeney Interiors is the studio’s curtain-making and soft furnishings workroom, where craftsmanship and creativity meet. Every curtain, roman blind, and cushion is bespoke and handmade, ensuring the perfect fit and finish for each space.
